Canopy delivers the most value when suppliers are invited into the system to complete their profiles and submit their information for approval.
How to invite a supplier to Canopy
- Select Suppliers from the top menu bar
- Click the Add New Supplier button in the top right corner
- The Request Form will load. Please fill out the questions on the Request Form. Mandatory fields will be indicated with a red asterisk (*).
- When complete, click the Request Supplier or Invite Supplier button at the bottom of the Request Form:
- If your workflow requires that new supplier requests are approved before the supplier is invited, you will click the Request Supplier button. Your request will be sent to the relevant Request Approver, who will be notified automatically, and will review your request.
- If your workflow does not require new supplier requests to be approved, you will click the Invite Supplier button.
- An invitation email will now be sent to the Profile Admin, as indicated on the Request Form.

If you are an Admin user, your request will never require approval.
