Here, you will learn how to reset a password on behalf of an internal customer user.
Who can reset an internal user's password?
The 'Admin' and 'User Admin' user groups have permission to reset internal user's passwords.
To determine who in the business has the ability to do this, please navigate to the user management page from the main menu and filter by 'Admin' and 'User Admin'.
To reset an internal user's password, please follow these steps:
- Navigate to the user management page from the main menu.
- Find the user who you would like to reset the password for.
- Click on the user profile, to have a view of the 'Users Details'.
- Select the 'Password Reset' button on the top right-hand side of the page.
A message will then appear at the top of the page to state 'Password successfully reset' and the user will receive an invitation via email to reset their password, which expires within 3 days after delivery.
If the user doesn't choose to reset their password via the email invite, they will be prompted to reset this when next attempting to log into the portal.
