Using Supplier Status and Compliance Indicator

What is the difference between the Supplier Status and the Compliance Indicator?

The Compliance Indicator and Supplier Status both provide a snapshot understanding of the overall 'health' of the supplier. While they are linked, they are not the same, and my be used in tandem to gain an understanding of the supplier's situation.

Supplier Status provides an understanding of the stage of the approval workflow the supplier is currently in. It helps you to understand what the next steps are to approve a supplier into the supply chain.

Compliance Indicator provides a RAG status indicating the availability of the supplier for trade. Only suppliers with a green tick should be traded with freely. In all other cases, the supplier is in a state that makes them unavailable or only available with precaution.

How Supplier Status and the Compliance Indicator can be used together

By looking at both the Supplier Status and the Compliance Indicator, you can build a picture of the what is happening with the supplier.

Compliance Indicator	Supplier Status	Description
	any status	The supplier is new to the business and has never been published before. They are in the process of being onboarded to the business for the first time.
	Under Review	This is an existing Published supplier who has recently resubmitted their profile for review. They may have updated some information, but this new information is not yet on their Published record. The profile is currently sat with the Section Approvers awaiting approval.
	Final Review	As above, except the profile is currently sat with the Final Approver awaiting approval.
	Returned To Supplier	As above, except one of the approvers has sent the profile back to the supplier to requires some additional information. The profile is currently sat with the supplier awaiting their resubmission.
or	Under Review	This is an existing supplier who has fallen Non-Compliant or is in Warning state (about to fall Non-Compliant). They have logged into their profile and resubmitted the profile for review. They will remain in this state until the profile has been re-approved. The profile is currently sat with the Section Approvers awaiting approval.
or	Final Review	As above, except the profile is currently sat with the Final Approver awaiting approval.
or	Returned To Supplier	As above, except one of the approvers has sent the profile back to the supplier to requires some additional information. The profile is currently sat with the supplier awaiting their resubmission.
