The Supplier Profile is your master record about each supplier you trade with. As such, you may use it to store any data point you wish about the supplier. It pulls all your supplier information in one place, so that you can easily build a holistic picture of everything you need to know.
The data contained in the profile includes:
- important supplier information, such as contact details, banking information and insurance certificates;
- internal classification/categorisation and ERP settings to ensure the supplier is appropriately managed by your teams and downstream systems;
- status information about the supplier record, including compliance, risk, and progress through the approval workflow.

Layout of the Supplier Profile
The Supplier Profile is laid out to provide easy access to the key information you need to find.
Each area of the profile is accessed via a series of Dashboards, which run horizontally across the top of the Supplier Profile.
The header bar remains visible wherever you are on the Supplier Profile. Please refer to this article for more information about what each of the indicators means on the header bar.
When first accessing a supplier record, you will land on the Summary dashboard, which provides a snapshot of who the supplier is, their status, and any activity that may be happening with their profile.
The Information Pane on the left hand side provides summary information and the status of any API connections that may be active.
Where information is entered and stored
Information held in the Supplier Profile may be entered in various places. However, the main entry point for information is the Supplier Data dashboard. This is the only dashboard within the Supplier Profile that is visible to the Supplier Profile Admin when they login to complete and submit their profile. The Supplier Data dashboard contains a complete database of all the information stored in the profile.

Definitions of each of the dashboards
The Supplier Profile is divided into different areas so you can easily find the information you need. A description of each of the dashboard is provided below:
- Supplier Data: This is the main database for the supplier and stores all their information. This is the only area of the profile that is visible to the supplier. It is also the only element of the profile that is subject to the approval workflow.
- Risk: Displays the risk assessment of the supplier against each of the risk types configured on your instance of Canopy. It also explains why a supplier has been classified to a certain risk level.
- Performance: Monitors the performance of the supplier by allowing internal user to leave feedback using a 5-star review mechanism.
- Contracts: Repository of all the contracts that have been agreed between you and the supplier. This is the main area of the profile for managing contract renewals and where new contracts will be entered and their details amended.
- Documents: This document library is a summary of all the files that have been uploaded to the profile on the Supplier Data dashboard, including insurances, certificates and policies.
- History: Provides an audit trail of everything that has happened with the supplier record since it was created.
- Actions: Displays the available actions for user with the relevant permissions. This is also where you can delete, reject or suspend a supplier.
