Many organisations rely on their suppliers to help them compile the original contract documentation governing the terms of trade. However, suppliers are unable to see the Contracts dashboard so they will be unable to create contract records themselves.
To collect contract documents from suppliers, you will need to create a mechanism through the Supplier Data dashboard.
How Canopy collects contracts from suppliers
The only area of the Supplier Profile visible to suppliers is the Supplier Data dashboard. This means that if you want to collect information from suppliers, you should use this area of the profile to do so.
By default, the Supplier Data dashboard includes a tab called Contracts.
The Contracts tab sets out the contractual questions you may wish to ask of suppliers. By default, these will include inviting the supplier to upload any contractual documents, Statement of Work or other documentation governing the terms of trade that they may have in their possession.
If the Contracts tab is not visible on your instance of Canopy, or you wish to amend the questions being asked, please consult your Administrator.
