What is the Spend Dashboard?
The Spend Dashboard gives Users an insight of their annual spending data across different categories and Suppliers. This makes it easy to manage costs, analyse purchasing trends and check operating budgets, KPIs and spending targets.
How does the Dashboard work?
In the Supplier Data Framework, Users can view Internal questions that include the Total Spend of each Year. These questions sit in the Internal Data tab:
The Canopy Default is that only Admins and Finance Users can edit these fields manually unless specified otherwise-
The Currency against each question will depend on the Currency requested when the feature is activated.
Data can be inputted into the fields either manually per profile or via the Bulk Update Data Point feature by Admins. Please click here to view an article on bulk updating the data.
Once answered, these questions then automatically feed into the Spend Dashboard, which can be assessed by all internal Users via (Unless specified otherwise) the main menu:
What data can be viewed on the Dashboard?
The Dashboard allows Internal Users to view:
- Total Spend for the current year.
- Total Suppliers with Spend calculated.
- Total number of Suppliers with a Contract assigned.
- Total number of Suppliers without a Contract assigned.
- Spend by Category.
- A graph for Spend over each year.
- Spend by Supplier name.
- Top Ten Suppliers by Spend.
